HILO DE MAN OF STEEL. ZACK SNYDER - HENRY CAVILL

Esta primera imagen de cavill me hace acordar mucho a una foto promocional de Reeve, dodne tien la misma exprecion en la cara y asta un cierto parecido.

Interezante no? y eso que cavill no esta caracterizado aqui.

Ostras que ilusión más grande me ha entrado al ver la foto de Henry como confirmación de ser el actor para la nueva película.

Sebas las imágenes hablan por si solas. Estamos ante el Superman de la nueva generación. No tengo ninguna duda. He visto la primera temporada de los Tudor, la película de Woody Allen "Si la cosa funciona", la película nunca estrenada en España "Blood Creek" y diversas entrevistas y creo no equivocarme al hacer esta afirmación.

Os adjunto una entrevista que le hicieron hace unos años en la que reconoce que estuvo prácticamente cerrado su participación como Superman antes de que llegara Singer. Está claro que es un buen actor y tiene porte para ello.

P.D. ya estoy rezando para que en la pelicula no le pongan el mismo doblaje que en los Tudors (me refiero al castellano) porque Henry tiene la voz muchisimo mas grave, mas de Superman.

Me Encanta ya lo dije Henry Cavill tiene Algo que para mi lo Identifica con Reeve (Posiblemente Carisma).

HENRY CAVILL TALKS ABOUT BEING NEW SUPERMAN; JOE MANGANIELLO WAS THE RUNNER-UP!




Earlier this morning, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY gave a tease of what to expect from their LATEST PUBLICATION pertaining to our new Superman (Henry Cavill) including the British thespian's first comments since being cast.

It was only a matter of time before somebody got their hands on the magazine and threw up what was said. I guess that’d be us this time. Among the highlights includes director Zack Snyder almost encounter casting Cavill for his highest-profile film (That is before helming the Superman reboot) 300:

"Snyder says he would have cast Cavill in his 2007 film 300, except the actor was holding out for another job: becoming the next 007. ‘I came very close,’ says Cavill. 'The choice was between a younger Bond and a Bond closer to his 30s, which is to say, Daniel Craig.'"

On who else was in contention to stand for truth, justice and the American way, Snyder was mum. But let one name outta his tongue – one we’d already known was up for it: True Blood's Joe Manganiello:

"'Joe's a great guy. I really liked him, says Snyder, adding that it came down to a gut decision. 'It was about seeing a quality that inspires the inexplicable, mysterious, cool emotion that says, 'That's my guy.'"

As for Superman himself, Cavill reconfirmed the now-infamous story of his candidacy under the McG incarnation back in 2004 and how it’s come full circle now (“But here I am, seven years later. Got ya! It was wonderful to have a second stab at a job – and as a wiser, older, more experienced actor.”), denied those claims of his being up for Batman Begins and his frustration of not being able to contact loved ones like his girlfriend and parents after the eventful phone-call from Snyder confirming he'd gotten the gig.

For the remaining time between now and the start of production (Scheduled for sometime this summer), Cavill will be busy getting into Superman shape and readying himself for wearing the iconic red-and-blue suit:

"'Even during the audition, even amid my anxiety while wearing the older model, I had this extraordinary feeling: ‘Wow. I’m wearing the cape. I'm wearing the S.' Extraordinary,' he says. 'I can't wait to do it for real.'"

Everyone sounds pumped to get going and enthusiastic. So that's a good thing, especially amidst those reports of script problems. Curious to see how long Warner Brothers actually takes until we get our first full-fledged look at Cavill as Superman and Clark Kent.

Queda claro que los rumores de Maganiello eran ciertos y que estuvo a punto de ser Superman. Ya tenemos a Cavill poniéndose en forma para el papel de Superman.

PD: Por cierto, no es verdad que en la foto de pantalón el cinturón tiene una S de Superman???

Muchas gracias, y ya que en las fotos se parecen y que hizo l casting con una replica del traje de reeve, , hice un montaje a ver como quedaria, me sorprende el parecido. Es que la mandibula y los ojso son realmente muy similares.

Sin palabras supersebastian, laverdad que viendo tu montaje se puede apreciar que el parecido es mas que asombroso. Esto pinta exelente!!

A major piece of that work is now complete: finding an actor who can express the next-gen Superman’s masculinity, gravitas and empathy. Henry Cavill was raised on the small British island of Jersey with limited time for pop culture beyond TV and computer games. The acting big bit during his years at boarding school and ever since he was 17, “I’ve been chasing the career around the world.” In addition to four seasons of The Tudors, he appeared in such films as 2002’s The Count of Monte Cristo, 2007’s Stardust, and 2009’s Woody Allen]comedy Whatever Works.

Snyder says he would have cast Cavill in his 2007 film 300, except the actor was holding out for another job: becoming the next 007. “I came very close,” says Cavill. “The choice was between a younger Bond and a Bond closer to his 30s, which is to say, Daniel Craig.” Cavill disputes reports that he was a contender for Batman Begins (“At least, nobody was talking to me about it”) but confirms he was a top candidate for an earlier version of Superman (to have been directed by McG) that fell apart in 2004. “But here I am, seven years later. Got ya!” he says with a triumphant shake of the fist. “It was wonderful to have a second stab at a job – and as a wiser, older, more experienced actor.”

That experience came in handy during his two-part audition. Last October, he was asked to read some scenes written specifically for the tryout. He came back in January for a screen test and proved he could sell the suit and an American accent. Snyder declines to identify everyone who auditioned for the role, but volunteers that his second choice was True Blood’s Joe Manganiello. “Joe’s a great guy. I really liked him, says Snyder, adding that it came down to a gut decision. “It was about seeing a quality that inspires the inexplicable, mysterious, cool emotion that says, ‘That’s my guy.’”

Two weeks after Cavill’s screen test, Snyder gave him the life-changing call. “I told him that I had some good and bad news: He needed to start working out.” Cavill was home alone in his London apartment at the time. He tried calling his girlfriend and his parents – but he couldn’t get through to anyone. “I was like, ‘This is ridiculous! I’ve just been given the biggest job in history, and nobody’s picking up their bloody phones!”

Soon it’s Cavill who’ll be hard to reach. He’s about to begin getting Super-ripped at Gym Jones, a fitness boutique specializing in building action-hero physiques. And the actor says is eager to get into his own Superman suit. “Even during the audition, even amid my anxiety while wearing the older model, I had this extraordinary feeling: ‘Wow. I’m wearing the cape. I’m wearing the S.’ Extraordinary,” he says. “I can’t wait to do it for real.”

Madre del Amor Hermoso!! Esta foto es sensacional!! Menudo porte como Superman!!! Sin duda, y dejando a un lado al gran Bandon Routh, es el candidato ideal para Superman.

Interesantisima la entrevista, ya van saliendo nuevas cosas a la luz, y la verdad que no tengo dudas de que este Superman dará que hablar, creo que es la elección perfecta. ¡¡La espera será eterna¡¡

Una con el traje de returns con proporciones del de Reeve

por algo elijieron a este actor.. ojala hagan una buen pelicula, me cuesta mucho olvidar a brandon ,., la verdad me da una pena enorme por que no tuvo el la culpa de que retunrs no haya funcionado.. el mejor sucesor de cris reeve .. y ojala no cambien el traje por que el traje de superman returns es el mejor traje que tuvo superman en toda la historia..
ojala algun dia salga las escenas eliminadas de superman retuns,.., el regreso a kripton --

pero le doy mi voto ded confianza a henrry cavill.. creo que hara un buen papel...

y no mide 1.90 pero con tacos podra llegar al 1.89, yo mido .178 u con mis nike shox llego al 1.82.. asi que eso na va a ser problema,., ojala la pelicula lo tomen con seriedad asi como lo hacen con batman,,

olvidate del traje de returns ese no vuelve, puede que este la posibilidad de que tenga cierto aire pero no va a ser el mismo.
